Poems Published: Read/Listen to Terrain Poety Contest Winners

Last September two of my poems won the Terrain Annual Poetry Contest. These works are now available to read and listen to in the online journal Terrain.org.

The contest, titled “Ruin and Renewal,” brings together many very interesting and powerful pieces revolving around themes of environmental decline, age, memory, seasons, and hope vs. despair.

A set of my poems just won the Terrain Poetry Competition.

This year the annual competition was themed “Ruin and Renewal.” The poet Suzanne Frischkorn was the judge and wrote a beautiful passage about my work, which you can read in the announcement.

Publication forthcoming in January at Terrain.org .

Both pieces deal with consequences of environmental decline, and one was drawn from my undergraduate thesis “They are Talking About the World is Hot.”
